Her second play TEMPORARY is about the crisis of single mother households forced into temporary accommodation. The piece is based on verbatim testimony, personal experience and extensive research and was performed at Nottingham Playhouse in March 2018 before featuring as part of Camden People’s Theatre’s Common People festival of working class theatre.

Libby’s third play to date, FIGHTER, premiered at Stratford Circus Arts Centre in April 2019, featuring BAFTA winner Cathy Tyson. FIGHTER is a show about women boxers, again based on personal experience - Libby used to box and has three fights under her belt. 

​

In 2019, Libby appeared in the sell out, 5 star show, BYSTANDERS at Edinburgh Festival with Cardboard Citizens.  Through the pandemic, Libby remained active, working as a freelance producer, actor and writer. In late 2021 she starred as dodgy Erica in EastEnders and was co-writer and performer on BBC Radio 4's Cardboard Citizens commission, Every Person Wandering.

Libby is a Barbican Open Lab artist, working on a new solo show, UNDER THE BRIDGE, exploring online trolling. She's also a core member of HighRise Theatre as Head of Programmes.

​

She is currently studying an MA in Audio Storytelling for Radio & Podcast at UCL. Her first audio feature, FIGHT FAIR, won the Charles Parker Prize 2024 and will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 later this year.

​

Libby’s work has been described as “funny, frank and authentic” and she has developed a unique voice, creating socially vigorous work that interrogates stereotypes and empowers women.

Libby is best known for her acclaimed solo show MUVVAHOOD, a unique show that mixes verbatim, stand up and TED Talk to challenge society’s perception of single mothers. The Stage described MUVVAHOOD as full of “humour and heart…an excellent work”. MUVVAHOOD was developed with support from Stratford Circus Arts Centre and Arts Council England. Libby performed the show at venues including Stratford Circus, Camden People’s Theatre, the Park Theatre and the Pleasance. 

As a result of her campaign work challenging perceptions of single motherhood, Libby appeared as a regular guest panelist on BBC Radio London’s Simon Lederman show. She has also featured as a guest panellist on BBC Radio 5 Live and The Rev Richard Coles show. She has written for The Stage, the Evening Standard, Standard Issue, the Guardian and more. 

Libby is an actor, writer, arts practitioner, producer, mother, fighter, audio maker and lover of Air Max 90's and

She trained at East 15 Acting School on the 3 year BA Acting course, graduating in 2000 and having her son shortly afterwards. 

​

TV credits include 'EastEnders', ‘Torchwood’ (BBC), ‘St Milligan’s Wharf’ (Pilot) plus comedy pilot ‘Autograph Hunters’, which she co-created, wrote and starred in. Theatre includes new writing: 'Bystanders' (Cardboard Citizens) ‘The Girls Next Door’ and ‘Second Class Parents’ (Miller Prods), ‘Kings’ (Smoke & Oakum), panto and site specific/immersive work.
